Job Description

Associate Creative Director

We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to help lead creative development for a large, high-profile energy client. This role is ideal for an emerging creative leader who can balance hands-on concepting with day-to-day direction of designers, writers, and junior creatives. The strongest candidate will bring strong narrative instincts, client-facing confidence, and the ability to turn complex business priorities into clear, compelling creative work across integrated channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead creative development for assigned workstreams, translating briefs and business objectives into strong concepts and polished creative executions.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, feedback, and mentorship to designers, writers, and junior creative talent.
  • Contribute hands-on creative thinking, writing, storytelling, and/or visual direction depending on project needs.
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors, strategy, account, content, production, and project management teams to move work from concept through execution.
  • Present work clearly and confidently to internal partners and clients, articulating creative rationale and strategic alignment.
  • Guide teams through feedback, iteration, and execution while maintaining quality, consistency, and momentum.
  • Support integrated creative needs across brand, advocacy, podcast, digital, social, video, newsletters, email, events, and always-on communications.
  • Help create a collaborative, high-performing team culture that encourages strong ideas, accountability, and creative growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications, Creative Writing or Advertising/Portfolio school
  • 7-9 years total experience with at least 3 years in an advertising or marketing agency
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling, integrated campaign work, and polished execution.
  • Copy, narrative, or content-led creative background preferred; strong visual creative leaders will also be considered.
  • Experience mentoring or managing creative talent in an agency, in-house agency, or brand environment.
  • Strong presentation, communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience working across multiple channels, including digital, social, video, events, email, newsletters, and brand communications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, confidential client environment.
  • Energy, regulated industry, or large enterprise brand experience is a plus.

Compensation Range: USD $106,780.00 - USD $146,100.00/Annually.
